Continuity of Awards and a New IWSC Nomination as Recognition of Premium Quality

Date

As the officially recognized Best Global Fruit Distillate Producer of 2023 by IWSC,
Podrum Palić distillery is maintaining its successful streak this fall –

we have once again been nominated for the same title

by this prestigious and influential global association in wine and spirits.
In a year when we are once again in the running for the trophy popularly known as the "Wimbledon for Distilleries" –

we have already won seven IWSC medals for 2024.

Four of these medals were awarded to Baraba premium rakija, while three more went to Sinner Dry Gin and a new addition to our portfolio, the bitter liqueur Gorshtak.

Baraba Plum and Baraba Apricot were awarded gold medals, each with 95 points, while Baraba Lozovača (Grape Rakija) and Baraba Quince Barrique received silver medals.

Let’s not forget that last year, Baraba Lozovača not only received a gold medal but was also awarded the title of “Best of the Best” in its category – earning the unique Outstanding Gold trophy with 99 points.

Despite exceptionally strong competition in the gin category, Sinner Dry Gin won a bronze medal in its category and silver for the gin & tonic combination, in partnership with renowned London-based producer Franklin & Sons.

Finally, the newest member of the Podrum Palić family – the bitter liqueur Gorshtak – won its first bronze medal at this year's IWSC competition.

The annual 2024 awards ceremony will take place on November 12 in London, during a grand gala event where the laureates of the association's most prestigious trophies will be announced – and we eagerly await the chance to bring the title back to Serbia.
